A renowned & award winning Kathak dancer of India, Bhakti is the disciple of Pt. Birju Maharajji. She has been a Kathak choreographer in Bollywood movies like Bajirao Mastani, Dedh Ishqiya, Vishwaroopam and multiple dance reality shows. She has performed in prestigious venues globally and has been teaching Kathak in South Mumbai for more than a decade. Her learnings from her Gurus and her extensive work as a Kathak dancer, have been incorporated in these classes.

Course Requirement

This workshop is meant for beginners, so if you have no knowledge of Kathak or if you learnt a long time ago and want to restart this is a great place to start.
  • This course is meant for beginners, which means your child needs no prior training
  • The age group to begin is 6-12 years. If your child is below 6 years of age we do not recommend a structured dance program. Instead you can play Indian Classical music in the background whenever possible, this way their intuitive understanding of music begins to develop!
  • No Parental Supervision – Our mentors are trained to give personal attention and revision in class so parent supervision throughout the program is minimal

FAQs

We offer a variety of batches to happen over weekdays & weekends for group classes. You can choose your preferred timings as per your schedule. For 1-on-1 classes, the timings are fully flexible as per your convenience. Each session with the mentor is about 45 minutes long. We will conduct 1 training class + 1 practice class per week. Additionally all practice videos are provided 24X7 with unlimited viewing access
Yes! This course is especially designed for beginner / young kids connecting with the dance form for the first time. We start with the absolute basics so your child can get a strong foundation in Kathak. The LIVE class format ensures you can learn directly from masters, get personal attention & training from expert mentors and finish the course as per your schedule.
The minimum age to start learning is 6 years. We do not take admissions before this age. A child's bone structure is considered too soft at this age to start training. At a very early age, children should be exposed to a variety of classical music and shown dances, this develops the right orientation (Sanskaar) and children find it easier to learn once they are 6 year old.
Yes, we provide a course completion certificate which has the details of everything your child has learnt in the course, mentioned on your certificate.
Yes, you will get practice videos for each session specially curated by the Masters. Your child can do the practices as many times from the website.
No, you do not require any equipment or ghungroos to start learning this course. If the student eventually shows sufficient commitment, we could suggest you to source the needful.
At beginners’ levels, we are neutral to all Gharanas / styles of Kathak. Basic technical training common to all gharanas is provided through the course.

We have a No-Questions-Asked refund policy before class 2 from the start date of your batch (i.e. 1st Live class date).

Once you raise a refund request via email, your unutilized fee will be refunded – the fee amount for sessions completed in the batch (at full list price) and the applicable taxes are deducted.

We will provide video lessons for all classes on the website along with the necessary practice routines needed for the child to cover up for the missed class. Any doubts can be cleared with the instructor in the next class.

We have only upto 6 students in a batch. This ensures personalised learning for each of them!
